British Airways Hacked!
So another week and another data breach. This time it’s British Airways! At the beginning of the month it was Butlins and Dixons Carphone updating us about breaches.
On Friday we were told that BA had suffered a sophisticated hack and personal details were stolen. At least we were told within 24 hours of them finding out. The bad news is the hack took place if you used the BA website between 10.58 pm 21st August and 9.45pm 5th September. At this time we know personal details and financial information from 380,000 users were stolen.
My advice is cancel your credit card if you used the site. Change your password and if you use the same password on other sites then change them all.
These breaches will continue to happen because your personal information is a valuable commodity to hackers and criminals.
